Grassroots Yoga Virtual Shala

Grassroots Yoga Virtual Shala is based in the Ashtanga Yoga Practice. All assisted self-practice classes follow the techniques and sequences of Ashtanga Yoga where you can move at your own pace with the verbal guidance of your teachers as necessary. As you practice, teachers will periodically call out your name and offer verbal and/or visual cues to help support your practice. Please give your teacher feedback about your progress and ask questions if there is anything you don’t understand.
Every Friday morning we will offer a Led Primary class where the teacher counts the class through the series in unison according to vinyasa counted method. You are encouraged to use props or modifications as necessary and you need not finish the entire series of poses.
Additionally we offer classes in Breathing, Chanting, and Meditation every morning. At Grassroots Yoga we explore all 8 limbs of Ashtanga Yoga in an accessible manner. We will offer this class offer techniques that utilize the breath, body, visualization, and sound as objects of focus.
In the Grassroots Sunday Sessions we invite guest teachers and offer workshops to help enhance your overall understanding and experience of the yoga journey.
Alternate classes will be offered on Full and New Moondays such as extended meditation and pranayama and Yoga Nidra
