You will find Ashtanga Yoga Worldwide classes at several local venues in the Ft. Lauderdale area as well as online classes hosted on Zoom in the Eastern Time Zone. For local classes, click on the link to the venue and you can find pricing and registration info through the studio website. Red Pearl Yoga only accepts online pre-registration at this time. In these classes the teacher will keep the pace and sequence of the class using poses from the ashtanga yoga primary series. We will also offer cues on alignment and how to safely enter and exit poses. This is a dynamic practice and we are intended to build up a sweat. You are encouraged to take responsibility for your own practice. Please use props, take versions of the poses that work best for your body, and take breaks as necessary. Ask your teacher if you need advice on how to get the most out of your practice.
Online Assisted Self Practice
In these classes, practitioners guide themselves through their sequence from memory. The teacher can assist with memorization as necessary. The teacher will also work with each practitioner individually to offer feedback and assistance with their ongoing practice. The teacher may use verbal cues and demonstration, to support your practice. Feel free to communicate with your teacher so that we can find the best way to support you.
Therapeutic Yoga is designed to address specific client needs. After an initial consultation and evaluation, the therapist will help design an individualized practice plan for the client. The therapist will then recommend 5-10 additional sessions for the client and therapist to work together.
These sessions are for those who want to private guidance of a teacher. You will work with the teacher to define your goals for the session and the type of assistance you would like. You may decide to have verbal guidance through the vinyasa count, practice in silence, have verbal feedback around your self-paced practice, have hands on assists, or advice on asana technique, pranayama, or meditation practice.
